It is intended to enable quick determination of an accurate parting line. Plane projection means (2) projects an edge of a product shape expressed by three-dimensional graphic data (1) onto a plane perpendicular to the opening direction of the mold, thus producing plane projection data (3). Parting line determination means (4) sequentially determines, as a parting line, a candidate edge having the largest interior angle at a contact with a deterministic parting line on the plane projection data, from among candidate edges adjacent to the deterministic parting line already determined as a parting line. Thus, a parting line (1a) of a mold for shaping the product shape expressed by the three-dimensional graphic data (1) is determined.
