PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable manufacturing a product which is environmentally friendly by engaging the pawl part of a support member with the recessed part of an image reading means, supporting the image reading means by means of the support member and providing an energizing means for energizing and positioning the supported means in a direction in parallel with an original surface. SOLUTION: A sensor substrate 15a4 on which an LED 15a3 for irradiating a photoelectric transducer 15a2 and an original is mounted on the lowest surface of a case is engaged by snap fittings by a substrate spring 15a5. Besides, the case is engaged with a contact image sensor attaching board by hook rib 15b1 and a hook pawl 15b2 as a pawl part arranged in the contact image sensor attaching board through the use of a fill removal 15a8 as the recessed part of the case. Thus, the contact image sensor 10 and the contact image sensor attaching board fixed by snap fittings so that they are easily assembled and disassembled in configuration.
