A rotary-piston machine (10) houses a rotor, that rotates about a rotation axis (A), within a cavity (9). The rotary-piston machine also has inlet fuel and air passages (3) and outlet passages for exhaust gases (4). Vanes (1) are received in slots (11) in the rotor (2). Each vane (1) extends radially, and slides in the same direction, from the internal surface (20) of the housing (5) to the rotor axis (A), and to at least one working chamber (9a). The working chamber (9a) is part of the cavity (9) and is defined by the internal surface (20) of the housing (5), the peripheral surface (21) of the rotor (2) and the side surface of at least one vane (1). Each vane (1) is connected about an axis (C) to one end of a control arm (7) and is at the other end pivotally supported in a fixed axle shaft (8). The fixed axle shaft has a central axis (B) being coincident with the axis extending centrally through the cavity (9) of the housing (5), which axis (B) extend in parallel with and spaced (d) from the rotor axis (A), and the rotor (2) constitute the unit for power take off or input.
