PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-compression insulated multi-core shield wire along with its manufacturing method to improve terminal finishing and to stabilize the electric characteristics. SOLUTION: A plurality of insulated conductors 13 coated with an insulator 12 whose foaming degree is 20% or higher are twisted together at a constant pitch, which is evenly and lightly compressed to a diameter smaller than the twisted diameter. A shield 14 comprising a metal laminate tape is wound around a lightly-compressed core 10, around which a jacket 15 is molded.
