METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SCREENING CALL FROM TELEPHONE EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize screening of a call relating to a network-based voice mail system from telephone equipment without substantially changing a telephone network. SOLUTION: A message exchange system component realizes the screening of a call terminated from certain telephone equipment in a plurality of telephone equipment. The message exchange system component is associated with a network and communicates with the network compliant to a signaling protocol of the network. The message exchange system component is located in an end relationship of the network to additionally realize the screening of the call terminated from the telephone equipment without changing an architecture relating to the network.
