PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a battery of which protective circuit board 5 is not destroyed by insulation inspection of the battery, wherein the insulation inspection is carried out using a temporary terminal 3 of a battery lid 2, the temporary terminal 3 is removed after the insulation inspection and then a protective circuit board 5 is installed. SOLUTION: Power generation elements 4 are contained in a battery container 1, and the battery lid 2 having an insulation seal positive electrode terminal lead pin 24 penetrating to a front side and a back side of the battery lid wherein a back side end of the pin 24 is connected with a positive electrode of the power generation elements 4 and a front side end of the pin 24 is connected with the temporary terminal 3, is attached to an opening of the battery container 1. The insulation inspection of the battery is carried out using the temporary terminal 3 of the battery lid 2, after that the temporary terminal 3 of the battery lid 2 is removed, and then the protective circuit board 5 and a positive electrode terminal 6 are connected with the front side end of the positive electrode terminal lead pin 24.
