PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating a specific block enabling an own location to be confirmed while working by making use of an inexpensive GPS receiver. SOLUTION: The method for estimating a specific block H where a mobile object FV is working in an area TE divided into a plurality of blocks comprises the 1st step of calculating the center-of-gravity location GC in the specific block based on the moving track of the mobile object FV obtained from a GPS signal received by the GPS receiver loaded on the mobile object FV and the 2nd step of extracting as the specific block a block where there is a center-of-gravity location MGC at the nearest position to the center-of-gravity location calculated in the 1st step using location data on the above-mentioned plurality of blocks prepared in advance.
