PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing toner which does not give cause for fogging and white stripes at the time of printing by controlling the dispersibility of a charge control agent. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the toner has a process of melting and kneading raw material containing a binder resin, the charge control agent, a coloring agent and a wax by using an open roll type continuous kneading machine having heating and cooling functions. At the time of melting and kneading in the above method, the melting and kneading are performed by supplying 70 to 100 wt% of a binder resin to be compounded and 60 to 90 wt% of the charge control agent from the roll end on an inlet side of the kneading machine to a position of 0.3 L (where L represents the length of the roll).
