PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control video system capable of receiving and controlling video by using a visual telephone line having high concealment. SOLUTION: The remote control video system has a cellular phone 1 and a video distribution terminal 3. The cellular phone 1 comprises a radio communication unit 106 for transmitting and receiving the video and sound by radio via the visual telephone line network 2, a video display unit 101 and a speaker 102, a button 103, and a DTMF generator 113 for transmitting a DTMF signal to the visual telephone line network 2 according to the operation of a button. The video distribution terminal 3 comprises a camera 301, a control unit 310 for controlling the operation of the camera, a communication unit 306 for performing visual telephone communication including the video of the camera with the cellular phone 1, a DTMF signal conversion processor for converting the DTMF signal from the cellular phone 1 to identification information, and a menu information table for allowing the identification information to correspond to imaging operation control contents.
