PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a liquid crystal display device that improves a size precision of a gap and an arrangement precision of the gap, and also reduces the manufacturing cost while improving the yield of manufacture. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the liquid crystal display device includes steps of: (step S2) dispersing spherical spacers for gap formation in a solution; and (step S3) coating a liquid crystal substrate with the solution by an ink jet system together with the spherical spacers for gap formation.
