PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a display which displays images by moving a liquid between electrodes, and for always making a necessarily sufficient amount of liquid match each pixel. SOLUTION: Front surface side space 21 and rear surface side space 22 are filled with a frozen liquid 23a obtained by freezing water colored in black for example. Melting this frozen liquid 23a, this method enables the switching of the state that all the molten liquid is in the front surface cavity 21 (the rear surface side space 22 is filled, for instance, with air) and the state that it is all in the rear surface side space 22 (front surface side space 21 is filled, for instance, with air) necessarily sufficient.
