摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thickness deviation inspection apparatus capable of precisely and automatically measuring thickness deviations, in a short time, between an outer-diameter surface and an inner-diameter surface of a ring-like forged material such as a bearing race manufactured by forging. SOLUTION: The ring-like forged material as a material 5 to be inspected is positioned by a driving roller 2 and a driven roller 3 fixed to inspection reference positions on an inspection bench 1 with reference to the outer-diameter surface of the material 5 to be inspected. Then the material 5 to be inspected is rotated by the driving roller 2, and a laser beam 6a is projected by a laser displacement meter 6 to a predetermined inspection point 6b in the inner-diameter surface 5b of the material 5 to be inspected to continuously measure the distance between the inspection point 6b and the laser displacement meter 6 during one rotation of the material 5 to be inspected.
