A medication managing apparatus, comprising a medicine package case (1) and a body device (2) detachably storing the medicine package case (1). The medicine package case (1) comprises blocks (12a to 12g) in which medicine packages are stored, openings formed in the walls (13) of the blocks (12a to 12g) at positions facing each other through each of the medicine packages in the blocks (12a to 12g), and an openable cover (10). The body device (2) comprises sensor parts (medicine package sensors) disposed correspondingly to the openings in the opposed walls (13) of the blocks (12a to 12g) and detecting the medicine packages by cutting off clearances between the pair of openings by the medicine packages stored in the blocks (12a to 12g) and a switch lever and a micro switch (medicine package case sensor) detecting the attachment and detachment of the medicine package case (1) to and from the body device (2).
