PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for freezing food enabling racks to be easily and surely carried in or out of a freezer so as to drastically improve workability. SOLUTION: The system for freezing food comprises the following process: inserting the lower part frame of a lift vehicle into a frame insertion part of a carriage and inserting a fork into a fork insertion part at the lower part of the rack while putting the leg parts of the rack on a rack placing part of the carriage; regulating the position of the rack via a rack position regulation part and engaging a carriage holding means with the carriage; raising the fork to put the rack on the fork; and moving the lift vehicle; making the carriage go into a carriage approaching part of the freezer; inserting the rack into a freezing treatment warehouse; moving the fork down and releasing the engagement of the carriage followed by making the lift vehicle go back while leaving the carriage at a carriage approaching part as it is; and carrying the rack into the freezing treatment warehouse.
