The invention relates to field of heat engineering, in particular to units transforming heat energy to mechanical energy. An engine with outer heat supply has a housing, a heater, a cooler, those placed along the power-takeoff shaft and fixed on it, a working piston and baffled piston placed in respective cylinders of the housing, and crank mechanism installed in the housing with possibility of rotation with respect to the axis of the working piston and power-takeoff shaft. The working piston is rigidly connected by link to the baffled piston, at that diameter of the baffled piston is smaller than diameter of the working piston and larger than diameter of the link connecting those to each other.
