A digital image system is provided to input an input image signal into normal distributors when malfunction occurs in a distributor, thereby allowing display units connected to the other distributors except the defective distributor to perform display functions respectively, by forming each distributor to include an error sensor and a detour switch. A digital image system comprises a host unit, a plurality of display units, and a plurality of distributors(2). Each of the distributors(2) includes an error sensing unit(28) and a detour switching unit. The error sensing unit(28) monitors the periodicity of an inner image signal obtained by processing an input image signal to sense whether an error occurs in the inner image signal, and generates a control signal according to occurrence of the error. The detour switching unit is operated according to the control signal. If the error occurs in the inner image signal, the detour switching unit detours the input image signal to output the input image signal directly to other distributors.
