Disclosed is a portable suction pump unit for sucking body fluids, comprising a pump unit housing (1) with a pump unit (6) and at least one secretion or fluid collecting vessel (2) that is removably connected to said pump unit housing (1). The pump unit housing is provided with a front wall (11), a rear wall (11), and a sidewall (16) that is arranged between said two walls. The front wall and the rear wall are each fitted with one wall edge (100, 110) that protrudes from the sidewall, the fluid collecting vessel being retained between said wall edges such that the fluid collecting vessel is easy to attach to the pump unit housing while being retained therein in a secure and protected manner. The inventive suction pump unit allows the fluid collecting vessel to be easily and safely replaced while providing the patient with added mobility. |
