PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cage having an optimum length for purposes and environment in use, and to provide a linear motion device using the same. SOLUTION: This cage 3 is used for a linear motion device which comprises a slider movable along a guide rail, and a plurality of rolling elements 4 arranged between the guide rail and the slider, is arranged between the guide rail and the slider, and can be constituted by using a connection structure for mutually connecting a plurality of cage assemblies. Each of the cage assemblies has a plurality of pockets P for rotatably holding the individual rolling elements one by one. In the connection structure, a connection piece 51 is constructed with a fitting piece 51b at one end of the cage assembly in the rolling direction and a connection supporting portion 52 is constructed with a fitting hole 53 at the other end for the fitting piece to be fitted thereinto.
