PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock mechanism which locks a door by engaging an engaging claw with an engaging hole, wherein the lock mechanism solves the following inconvenience: when a locking state is canceled and a door panel is moved from a closed position to an open position, the engaging hole is exposed to the outside and the appearance of the lock mechanism is marred. SOLUTION: The lock mechanism 6 provided for locking the door panel 1 to a closed position is formed of: a lock 61 which receives an operating force applied thereto at the time of locking/unlocking the door panel; the engaging claw 63 which is movable between a locking position and an unlocking position upon reception of the operating force transmitted from the lock 61; and an operating force transmitting section 62 for transmitting the operating force from the lock 61 to the engaging claw 63. In the present embodiment of the lock mechanism, the engaging claw 63 at the locking position engages with the engaging hole H formed at a location that is opposed to an upper edge of the door panel 1 or the vicinity of the upper edge, and opened upward, and inhibits the door panel 1 from moving from the closed position.
