PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic system of a power tool capable of determining and displaying deterioration and failures of each power tool without increasing the size of the power tool itself and increasing cost by effectively utilizing a holding base for holding the power tool. SOLUTION: This diagnostic system is constituted of the power tool 1 and the holding base 2. On the power tool 1 side, a memory 9 for storing a work history of the power tool 1 and a tool communication portion 10 for transmitting data of the work history in the memory 9 are provided. On the holding base 2 side, a holding base communication portion 14 for receiving data from the tool communication portion 10, a diagnostic portion 15 for determining deterioration and/or failures of the power tool 1 based on the received data, and a display portion 16 for displaying a diagnostic result of the diagnostic portion 15 are provided.
