PURPOSE: To automatically and cyclically execute the print output of a test pattern image by controlling the print output start timing of the test pattern image on the basis of registered test print execution cycle data. CONSTITUTION: The number of printing sheets showing the cycle executing the test printing set from an operation panel 7 is stored in registers 18, 19 by monochromatic and full-color printing modes. The number of printing sheets at the time of usual printing operation is counted by the printing modes by counters 16, 17 and the values of the registers are compared with the values of the counters at every printing modes and, in the case of the coincidence of both values, coincidence data is outputted to a control circuit 14 from comparators 20, 21. The control circuit 14 outputs a start signal starting test printing to a test printing start circuit 15 and the start circuit 15 calls out a test pattern image to output the same to an OR circuit 9. This image is sent out to a laser driver circuit 6 as a laser driving signal from the OR circuit 9 to irradiate a photosensitive drum 11 with a light signal. |
