An all-optical device for monitoring a mass and a flow rate of a fluid, comprising a heating light source (1), a detection light source (2), a first filter wavelength division multiplexer (3), a sensing unit (4) and a spectrum analyzer (6); the sensing unit (4) has a composite structure of: single mode fiber/heating fiber/single mode fiber; both segments of the single mode fibers are inscribed with fiber Bragg gratings (FBG) to form Fabry-Perot cavities, and the heating fiber is a resonant cavity. Also disclosed is a monitoring method based on the all-optical device for monitoring the mass and the flow rate of the fluid. The device and the method measure accurately, are sensitive, all-optical, small and safe, and are particularly suitable for the monitoring of flammable and combustible fluids. |
