The purpose of the present invention is to provide a primer which has high adhesion to a recording medium and high photocurability, and which is not likely to cause curling of the recording medium even if cured thereon. The above-described purpose is achieved by a primer which contains a tri- or higher functional (meth)acrylate, a vinyl ether compound having two or more vinyl ether groups, and a photoinitiator, and which is cured when irradiated with an active energy ray. This primer contains, relative to the total mass of the primer, from 10% by mass to 50% by mass (inclusive) of the (meth)acrylate and from 3% by mass to 40% by mass (inclusive) of the vinyl ether compound. |
