PURPOSE: To efficiently obtain the subject compound useful as a therapeutic agent, etc., for ovarian, mammary, lung cancers, etc., by culturing a cell or a tissue of a plant capable of producing a taxane type diterpene in a culture medium containing coronatines, a microorganism capable of producing the same, its culture solution, a culture extract, etc. CONSTITUTION: A cultured cell or a tissual cell of a plant (e.g. Taxus beccata Linn) capable of producing a taxane type diterpene (e.g. taxol) or both are cultured in a culture medium containing one or more of coronatines represented by formula I [R<1> is OH, OR<2> (R<2> is a 1-6C alkyl, etc.), OM<1> (M<1> is an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal or NH4 ), NR<3a> R<3b> (R<3a> and R<3b> are each H, a 1-6C acyl, a 1-6C alkyl, etc.), etc.; R<10a> , R<10b> , R<11a> , R<11b> , R<12> , R<13> , R<14a> , R<14b> , R<15a> , R<15b> , R<16a> , R<16b> and R<17> are each H, OH, a 1-6C alkyl or a 1-6C alkoxy] or formula II (R<18> is H, a 1-6C alkyl or a carbohydrate; R<19> is same species as that of R<17> ), etc., a microorganism capable of producing the same, a culture solution of the microorganisms, a culture extract, etc., thereof to recover a product from the cultured product and/or culture medium to efficiently afford the objective taxane type diterpene. |
