PRODUCING AN ELONGATED INTERMEDIATE STEEL PRODUCT G7-. Intermediate product of low thickness can be produced by this method, which provides for a tilted ingot mould to be filled with molten steel, filler connections being immersed in the molten metal and a pressure gradient being created between the space above the metal and the interior of the mould. This is performed in such a way that, on filling the mould, at the most a thin external zone of the metal entering the mould solidifies. The mould is swivelled into its vertical position when filled.
