CONTINUOUS DYEING PROCESS FOR POLYAMIDE FIBRES. G2A. Using an aqueous dye bath containing ethane phosphonic esters having the formula:- (where R is a hydrocarbon group with a least 8C, may be substituted with OH, COOH, carbalkoxy, carbonamide, and the chain may be interrupted with O, S, N; R1 is C1-8 alkyl; R2 is alkali, pref. Na, or ammonium, mono- or di- or triethanol or cyclohexyl ammonium; X is O or S; n = 1-3). - The bath may contain low mol. wt. acid (e.g. formic, acetic, malonic). The fibres are soaked in the bath and then given thermal after-treatment. The baths are used to dye polyamide fibres, e.g. wool, silk and synthetic.
