PURPOSE: To hold necessary wall surface strength even if a wall surface is thinned by boring holes in housing wall surfaces, inserting reinforcing pillars into these holes, and soldering a board side end part of the pillar to dummy terminals on a board. CONSTITUTION: This plug connector 10 is set by pre-inserting reinforcing pillars 17 into reinforcing holes 16. When legs 14a of the connector 10 are soldered to terminal groups 21 of a board 20, soldering parts 17b of the reinforcing pillars 17 are simultaneously soldered to dummy terminals 22. In this fixing condition, short edge side wall surfaces 11b are reinforced by the reinforcing pillars 17, and long edge side wall surfaces 11a are practically reinforced by contacts 14. Therefore, a wall surface 11 is not easily deformed as a whole. Therefore, even if the wall surface 11 is thinned, necessary strength can be secured. |
