PURPOSE: To scarcely deteriorate an image quality even if protting is conducted with resolution degraded, based on bit-mapped image data. CONSTITUTION: Bit-mapped image data are scanned for each line by a scanning part 10, and the positioning data of a black picture element showing the characteristics of the image data for each scanned line are decided as interim data by an interim data decision part 11. All the interim data decided for each line are grouped based on a plotting interval by a grouping part 12, and the average of the interim data which constitutes the group is computed for each group by a plot positioning data computing part 13 to determine each plot positioning data. |
