Skinning tools on chains carried on a tilting framework with two platforms which ride up and down on tilting columns hinged like the frame for the chains, to the house floor. The forelegs of the animal are held during skinning by hooks fitted to a rail on a holder, the rail parallel and level with the overhead track which conveys the animals through the unit. Spindle gearing is provided to adjust the angle of the tool chains and platforms, and also for the columns guiding the tool platforms.
