<p>Yarn is drawn from a package driven pref. by an associated electric motor, and wrapped pref. several times around spaced pulleys driven by a separate motor. The motor speeds are controlled independently, in dependence on the required yarn delivery rate, and the diameter of the package. Pref. the diameter is detected by a photoelectric device responsive to movements of a swing arm continuously contacting the package.</p> |
