<p>A required pattern is embroidered on the machine and the linear displacement of the drum along X and Y co-ordinates, and the angular displacement of the drum is measured and recorded to provide a control programme. Pref. the variation in the needle amplitude is also recorded. The drum is pref. mounted on a carriage movable along a pair of parallel rails and these rails are movable along a mutually or thogonal pair of rails. The drum is rotable on the carriage. Conventional tracing mechanisms are eliminated.</p> |
