Wet catalytic oxidation of sulphur dioxide

Acid mists resulting from the wet catalysis production of H2SO4 are precipitated by spraying with 78-98% conc H2SO4 in two stages, the first at 90-200 degrees C and the second at 40-70 degrees C.
