PURPOSE: To provide an electromagnetic rotating machine in which the mutual coupling between a stator side position control winding and a rotor winding can be very small or zero. CONSTITUTION: 4-pole stator windings for torque generation and 2-pole position control windings are provided on a stator and 4-pole windings which are composed of specific conductors 54 which are held by a rotor core 52 and end rings 56, 58 which are divided in the circumferential direction and short-circuit the specific conductors 54 with each other are provided on a rotor 50.
