The compsns. contain an unsatd. polyester as resinous component, one or more hardening catalysts, an accelerator, styrene and opt. diallylphthalate in an amount of at least one-third of the wt. of the polyester, and, as flame-extinguishing agent, melamine in a proportion such than there are at least 150 pbw of melamine present for 100 pbw of other org. components. Large proportion of melamine ensures self-extinction without impairing other desirable props. eg. low dielectric loss. Used in mfre. of self-extinguishing castings or mouldings. |
