PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a copying machine in which a user active interface unit connected with a controller includes a programmable controller for controlling the copying function of the device. SOLUTION: A copying machine 8 is provided with; (a) means 19, 20, and 22 for executing a desired copying function in a preliminarily selected mode; (b) a controller 82 including delectable mode means 86 and 88 connected with executing means for controlling the performance of the desired copying function; (c) a mode selecting means 80 connected with the controller 82 for selecting a mode for executing the desired copying function; and (d) a user interface function 200 connected with the selecting means and the controller for actively instructing a user input activity to the desired copying function to be executed. The user interface function 200 includes a display 204 for displaying the preliminarily selected mode of the desired function to be executed, and a means 82 for animating graphic display according to the selection of the mode selecting means. |
