Machine for moulding foamed thermoplastic articles esp, from polystyrene, has a mould carriage fixed to a frame and a mould carriage movable relative to the frame, the frame having a 1-shaped vertical sectin, and being formed by a horizontal casing forming its base, and two vertical, parallel, spaced side casings. The fixed mould carriage is mounted at one end of the frame between the two side casings, and the movable mould carriage is placed in front of the frame, and is fixed to the end of two horizontal bars sliding in bearings placed inside the side casings, the bars being commanded by a mechanism installed in the casings. Design allows easy access to all machine parts. |
