PURPOSE: To provide a prove for paternity test, criminal investigation, etc., containing a new VNTR sequence existing at the q27 site of the 6th human chromosome, exhibiting restriction fragment size polymorphism with various specific restriction enzymes and giving a marker important in the DNA diagnosis for identification, etc. CONSTITUTION: This new probe contains the human VNTR sequence existing at the q27 site of the 6th human chromosome, exhibiting restriction fragment size polymorphism with TaqI, RsaI, PstI and PvuII having >=3, allelic genes between 2.1 and 1.6kb for TaqI, >=4 allelic genes between 3.1 and 2.4kb for RsaI, >=3 allelic genes between 2.3 and 2.1kb for PstI and >=3 allelic genes between 1.5 and 0.8kb for PvuII and having a base sequence expressed by formula I [the dotted part contains one or more repetitions of a sequence of formula II (K is G or T; Y is C or T; R is G or A; S is G or C)]. |
