<p>The remote control, for inductive signalling systems for railways, allows the railway-line magnetic used in the signalling system to be short circuited remotely as required and thereby taken out of operation -- i.e. prevented from affecting the passing train. The remote control uses a double-wire from the central control to the separate receivers on the track and no extra power supplies at the receivers themselves. Each receiver contains relay circuits designed to detect all possible faults within the receiver and thereby prevent the line- magnet failing to interact with the magnet on the passing train.</p> |
