The disc brake has a rotating disc (10) bolted to the wheels by locating bolts (12). The fixed part of the wheel (16) has a stirrup (18) which lies across the disc (10) with two friction pads (20) and (22). An hydraulic motor (24) fits in the housing (26). It has an inflatable bag (28) with an external connection (32). The bag fits behind the movable piston (38). The head of the piston presses against the pad(20) under the action of increased hydraulic pressure inside the inflatable bag (28).
