PURPOSE:To obtain uniform mixing of sand and molten glass by the method in which sand, e.g., quartz sand, etc., is supplied to the horizontal surface of molten glass and mixed by stirring. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacture of a san-mixed glass, the sand B is supplied onto the horizontal surface of the molten glass A and mixed with stirring by means of the insertion bar 1 and the agitation bar 2. Thus, the even mixing of sand into the molten glass can be attained. |
