PURPOSE:To provide a vertical electrophotographic printer whose toner consumption is a little and thickness is reduced, and which is handy to carry. CONSTITUTION:A vertical image forming unit 1 is constituted so as to provide at least, respective latent image forming means, a developing/cleaning means 5 attracting/holding a magnetic developer including the toner, having a function for actuarizing the latent image of the surface of an image carrier and simultaneously, removing a developer remaining thereon and provided with a magnet roll 8, and a transfer means 6 transferring the actual image of the surface of the image carrier onto a recording material, in the vicinity of the outer periphery of a cylindrically formed image carrier 3, and a fixing means 9 thermally fixing the actual image on the recording material. Simultaneously, the outer diameters of the image carrier 3 and the magnet roller 8 are set <=40mm and <=30mm, respectively, the dimension in thickness of the image forming unit 1 is set <=100mm and a constitution so as to vertically carry the recording material, is adopted. |
