PURPOSE:To form a homogeneous good quality metal film on a substrate contacting with a solution in good reproducibility, by irradiating a low b.p. hydrocarbon solution containing a metal bis-arene complex as a solute with light. CONSTITUTION:A metal bis-arene complex containing one or more compound selected from bis-benzene molybdate, bis-benzene tungstate, bis-benzene chromate and bis-benzene vanadate is dissolved in a low b.p. hydrocarbon solvent to prepare a solution which is then brought into contact with a substrate and at least a part of the contact part of the solution and the substrate is irradiated with light to precipitate a metal on the substrate. By this method, a homogeneous good quality metal film is formed on the substrate in good reproducibility. |
