OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM AND ITS REPRODUCING METHOD

PURPOSE: To obtain an optical recording medium and its reproducing method which enhances a super-resolution effect and can reproduce high-density information. CONSTITUTION: An optical recording medium is provided with a recording layer 5 which is formed on a reflecting layer 7 and through which reproducing light can be transmitted and with a mask layer 3 which is formed on the recording layer 5 and whose transmittance with reference to the reproducing light by a reaction due to the absorption of the reproducing light is enhanced. The recording layer 5 increases the transmittance of a recorded part with reference to the repriducing light as compared with that of an unrecorded part.
