PURPOSE:To facilitate quality control of a double-layer glass, by identifying discoloring depending on the amount of crystal water of cobalt bromide composing an indicator to detect the water content of a gas in a space to be measured. CONSTITUTION:An indicator 11 composed of cobalt bromide 12 is mounted with a double-side tape 13 on a double-layer glass which comprises two glass plates 1a and 1b, a spacer 2 filled with a drying agent 4 and a sealing material 3. The dew point in the double-layer glass space lowers to -70 deg.C and the cobalt bromide 12 is deprived of the crystal water to present green. But when the drying agent 4 loses adsorption effect thereof due to infiltration of water into the double-layer glass space or prolonged used thereof, the cobalt bromide 12 regains crystal water to turn crimson via pink. Thus, the discoloring can be identified visually thereby facilitating the control of a double-layer glass product. |
