PURPOSE:To obtain a high speed and large capacity local area network by constituting a packet exchange of a node station with plural combinations of packet exchanges accessible only to an optional time slot group. CONSTITUTION:Time slots TS2, TS3 assigned as a packet system channel PS are separated further as two packet system channels; a packet exchange group using the slot TS2 only and a packet exchange group using only the slot TS3. The two packet exchange modules 10N consist of a packet exchange group PS1 using the slot TS2 as a transfer channel and a packet exchange group PS2 using the slot TS3 as a transfer channel respectively. Since the packet system channel transfer speed on a loop LP is halved by two division, the circuit operation and processing speed of each packet exchange module 10N are decreased. |
