PURPOSE:To reduce variation of torque and production of white smoke by providing steps for deciding recirculation of exhaust gas, deciding low engine rotation, deciding low engine load and supplying power to a glow plug. CONSTITUTION:A step for deciding whether exhaust gas is recirculating, a step for deciding whether the engine rotation is lower than setting level, and a step for deciding whether the engine load is light are provided. Furthermore, a step for supplying power to a glow plug when exhaust gas is recirculating under low rotation and light load is provided. Since the ignition performance under EGR operation can be improved reliably, torque variation and white smoke production can be reduced. |
