PURPOSE: To obtain an optical pickup device which is made small and lightweight by a method wherein an optical pickup body is shaft-supported so as to be freely movable to a focus direction and a tracking direction with reference to a support and the internal space of the optical pickup body is utilized effectively. CONSTITUTION: An optical pickup body 10 is shaft-supported so as to be freely movable on one face side on which an objective lens 11 is arranged and installed and on the other face side on the opposite face side by using support shafts 19, 23 and frame members 21, 26, and it is assembled and arranged inside a holder case 20. Thereby, an optical path by which the objective lens 11 and a light-emitting/light-receiving part 15 are coupled optically is arranged between the shafts 19, 23, the internal space of the body 10 is utilized effectively, internal mounting components are arranged at high density, and an optical pickup device which is small and lightweight can be obtained. |
