The storage heating comprises at least one source (1 - 6) for heat production, a distributing system, a heat accumulator (10) and heating bodies (12) for heat delivery. The heat accumulator (10) contains at least two storage chambers (A, B, C, D) which can be connected to the distributing system independently of one another. That storage chamber which is heated by one or more of the heat sources (1 - 6) is separated from the heating bodies (12). That storage chamber which delivers the heat to the heating bodies (12) is separated from the heat sources (1 - 6). As a result, the advantage is obtained that heat sources with low energy production can be used for heating in an equivalent manner to heat sources with great and costly energy production, so that the heat sources with low energy production can better support the latter for saving heating costs. <IMAGE>
