The channel (1) is made of 0.5 mm steel plate, and its sides (3,4) are bent at 90 deg. to the back (2), being terminated along their sides opposite to the back with flanges (5,6) also bent at approx 90 deg. to the sides. Holes are provided through the back,sides and flanges. To install an electrical coupling box (7), it is inserted in an appropriate hole made in a wall hole with its one connection (8) in a kidney-shaped recess (9) in one side of the channel, and then another connection (10) is pivoted into a recess (11) in the other side (3) of the channel. - To fix the box with a projection corresp. to the thickness of the wall plate in front of the flanges a mail (12) is inserted through a series of holes (13) in one side (3) of the channel. Each nail then passes through a channel in the back (14) of the box, and projects through a hole in a series on the other side of the channel. With the box thus fixed in the channel, its open end is pushed through the hole made in the wall plate so that its front edge aligns with the wall plate side turned from the supporting beam structure. |
