<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an element of a high strength, high rigidity which does not change by water absorption in terms of its strength and shape by impregnating a halogen compound of lithium or its water solution into pores in a porous sintered body which consists of powder polyolefin of a special average diameter. CONSTITUTION:As polyolefin family resin polyethylene family is suitable because of the easiness to produce its powder, and polyethylene polymerization powder which uses Ziegler-Natta catalyst is most suitable for its shape of powder grains. For sintered forming the powder with an average diameter of 30-700mu is suitable. If the diameter is less than 30mu, a sintered body is easy to be clogged in its pores, and it becomes difficult to impregnate a halogen compound of lithium or its water solution into the pores. If the diameter is over 700mu, sintered products become brittle and they can not hold strength as a formed body. Furthermore, a porous body which is formed by sintering and has a pore diameter of 10-600mu and 30-80% porosity is suitable. Next, when the surfaces of powder grain are hydrophilic, the velocity of permeability to water vapor in a porous body is raised, and the powder is suitable for a total heat exchanger element and it prevents a variation in strength or dimension due to water absorption.</p> |
